I hope my varying perspective can help others look at the world in a different light of motion and beauty.” ~ Adrián.

MY JOURNEY

My photography journey started when I was 14, I had recently traveled to the desert and wanted to capture the night sky. Not knowing how to start, I began to teach myself the basics. I would spend all day and night on the Internet so I could learn more and more. During this period I was in high school, I would spend most summers in México with my grandparents and family. Each time I would travel I would try new techniques and developed a better understanding of my eye. When I was back home in the U.S. I would go to school and run a side business of photography/ videography with my close friends. It began as a hobby and by the end of my high school years I had worked up a wide body of work, stemming from my deepest passions, I had been able to capture life in different forms and really developed an authentic visual style that blended my pride for my heritage and culture but as well as paving new connections in my local art community. I graduated from high school not knowing what I wanted out of college, so I gave it a try and went to 1 year of college before dropping out and pursuing my career in freelance photography and filmmaking. All the while I was working a full-time sales job, maintaining my business, and working part-time as a graphic designer with a friend's clothing brand I was set on creating a name for myself in my local scene. In 2020 I created my first photo book after my 4th anniversary of taking pictures. I had compiled the best work of nearly 30,000 images and created two books published on my own. Flash forward to 2022 after a couple of years working as a drone operator for a mid-sized contracting company I left work and became a Gaffer and cinematographer, working on commercial, documentary, narrative, and short-form work. Simultaneously I was spreading my photography work anywhere I could and eventually managed to have my work on display at the 2021 World Expo in Dubai, U.A.E. That moment catalyzed me into embracing printing my work and telling my story to as many people as possible. Now since I've moved into a professional career in film production I have been able to keep my photography as my passion since it's truly what fuels my motivation to keep seeking textures, light qualities, and compositions that stand out to me. I want to continue using my work as a platform to showcase the places and people that are important to me and highlight the natural beauty of our world and surroundings. I continue to practice photography in multiple disciplines and have begun an online store selling my work. I hope to continue to make art and films and travel to more places for many more years to come.
